What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® treatment utilizes a series of removable and clear braces that helps to straighten teeth, gaps correction, crowding problems and troubleshoot middle bite issues. It is the brand name of a clear light teeth aligner that is a way of treatments in the orthodontic field. Invisalign consists of a flexible thermoplastic material called a smart track to avoid any harm and discomfort in the mouth. As its name shows, Invisalign is designed to align your teeth and jaw invisibly. You can also have the freedom of enjoying your favourite food with your teeth whenever you want by removing it easily. Also, don’t worry about oral hygiene and flossing; by using Invisalign, cleaning your teeth won’t differ from not having it.

There is something to mention, Invisalign is not completely invisible, but it is less noticeable than traditional braces. And its procedure is much shorter than orthodontics. You should visit your dentist for remodelling and prepare new Invisalign each week. Invisalign is one of the Teeth straightening aligners that is an alternative to traditional braces; it doesn’t need any wire, metal or other installations in your mouth. Instead, your dentist will equip a plastic former in your mouth. Invisalign aligners are a good option for children, teens, and adults. But the orthodontic treatment is quite popular with adults who used braces when they were young and didn’t wear an aligner to keep their teeth from shifting out of alignment.

Benefits of Invisalign®

Do you want a beautiful smile? Not only do crooked or misaligned teeth look bad, but they are also harder to clean and care for. Your smile and your health are very important parts of your life. Invisalign is a great way to straighten your teeth without having to wear big, uncomfortable braces. This way of straightening teeth has become popular quickly and is thought to be the safest and fastest way to do it. You will put these aligners on your teeth, and they will slowly move your teeth into a better position in less time than other methods. Here are some good things about Invisalign, which is the clear version of dental aligners:

Invisible

The idea of wearing braces to straighten teeth was dreadful to so many adults due to its visibility and the fact that no one wants others to know that you are undergoing an orthodontic procedure; hence, many would try to hide their smiles. Invisalign is a world-changing method presented to the world. Most people won’t notice you are wearing your aligners since they are made of thin, clear plastic that is almost invisible. So feel free to enjoy your wide and beautiful smile!

Removable

It is not necessary to remove Invisalign aligners because they are virtually invisible. You can remove them to continue flossing and brushing your teeth as normal. Occasionally, though, some of our patients would prefer not to wear their aligners because of a date, wedding, speech, conference, or other event. As long as you wear your aligners for at least 20 hours a day, taking them out for a brief amount of time won’t cause any issues.

Fewer Office Visits

Due to the hectic nature of modern life, remembering your dental appointment is becoming increasingly difficult. Because maintenance for Invisalign only necessitates biweekly dental visits, it may be advantageous in this situation. You’ll make fewer appointments and visit the dentist less frequently as a result.

More Comfortable

Not that you’ve ever worn traditional braces; they still hurt. Traditional braces work by moving and tightening teeth using brackets and wires. You can remove the aligner trays from Invisalign to clean, floss, and eat. They also lessen oral discomfort, irritability, and scraping.

Cost of Invisalign®

Now that we know what Invisalign is and how they treat orthodontic conditions like crowding, spacing, underbite, and overbite, it’s also good to know its cost. The price depends on the patient’s case, how much their insurance cover, promotions, and more. However, generally, you should expect the costs to be between $2,000 to $8,000 for Invisalign treatment.

Process of Invisalign®

At first, what we do is that we schedule a meeting to consult about your orthodontic situation. Invisalign is a versatile treatment method, but it doesn’t work out for all orthodontic issues. Furthermore, we also have to consider a patient’s ability or willingness to keep the aligners almost 24 hours a day. After that, our dentist will create your treatment plan. The plan will contain taking x-rays, photographs and impressions of your teeth. These records and instructions on how we want the teeth to move are sent to the Invisalign Company that wants to make them -the process of making it can take some time.

Wearing your aligners is the final and subsequent stage. Proper placement and tightening of each aligner are essential. It would be best if you could let us know if something seems off or if something feels too tight or loose in your mouth so we can make the necessary adjustments. We’ll schedule more appointments based on your condition.
